THE JOURNEY

The Remodel

The St. Helena house has undergone a significant transformation when it was passed over to it’s third generation. After Gee Gee and Francis passed away, the home was given to their niece, June and her husband Gene in 1975. After Gene and June passed away, their three kids were at a pivotal moment to preserve the family home, or sell it. Given the many memories our family has shared at the home, we decided to remodel. From left to right, the house tells a story of its gradual transformation. We wanted to preserve some of the original elements with modern functionality, creating a space that feels both timeless and new.

We hired some of the best architects and designers in the area and had them create the best version of the St. Helena house. The entire middle section of the house was torn apart and a new kitchen was created that still kept its’ 1800’s charm. Old carpet was removed from the 70s’ downstairs, to later find out that the carpet was just put over hardwood floor built with the house in the 1800's. A complete remodel of the upstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, porch, and exterior of the house was also completed. Our goal was to make the St. Helena house an iconic vacation rental for those wanting a spacious and peaceful place to stay in the Napa Valley.
